Home Remedies for Liver Cirrhosis

  • Amla / Indian Gooseberry – Amla is a rich source of vitamin C which makes it a liver friendly fruit and helps in optimal liver function. Eat 3-4 raw amlas as a salad or with curd.
  • Broccoli – It contains sulfur compounds which helps in the detoxification process and support liver in the metabolizing of the hormone.
  • Spinach and carrot juice – Consuming equal parts of spinach juice and carrot juice is an excellent remedy for liver cirrhosis.
  • Licorice tea – Grind the licorice root, add it to boiling water and strain the liquid  for a few minutes. Consume the tea twice  a day to get rid of liver problems.
  • Garlic – It is best food to detox and keeps your liver healthy. Allicin the antioxidant in garlic stimulates the liver enzymes that can flush out harmful substances.

  • Coriander – This spice contributes to  detoxification which enhances liver health.
  • Fennel – Commonly known as saunf benefits  your liver. You can simply chew a few fennel  seeds after having your meal.
